About

Hanna Frieda Lange is a director based in Germany. She graduated with a directing diploma from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2026, with a focus on commercials. In 2024, she took part in the Hollywood Workshop at UCLA Extension in Los Angeles on a scholarship.

Focus
Hanna directs commercials and documentaries with a dry, direct sense of humor. She loves working with actors and real people alike and builds a small world for every story she tells, especially when there are cars involved. For smaller projects, she is also available as director/DP.

Recognition
Her work has been nominated at the Young Director Award in Cannes, the Berlin Commercial Award, the Motorfilm Awards in Los Angeles, the Shiny Awards in Amsterdam and the Student Film Awards, among others.

Experience
Before and alongside film school, Hanna spent nine years on film and commercial sets as a runner, PA, 2nd AC and 2nd AD. Along the way, she worked on productions for Warner Bros., Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Hyundai, Nike, Lufthansa, the German Football Association (DFB), REWE, ERGO, Catrice and Hornbach among others. So she knows how a production runs from almost every angle.

Personal
Cars and motorsport have been her thing long before film school: she hasn’t missed the 24h race at the Nürburgring since she was 14. She is also fascinated by martial arts and the people behind it, which led to her documentary about Ukrainian underground boxers.
